Aromatherapy and Distillation Blog

My name is Sigita Jonušaitė. I am certified holistic aromatherapy specialist, distiller, nature lover and tent camping enthusiast. I also have a longterm professional background in marketing strategy and international sales.

I’ve been loosely interested in aromatherapy since 2004. I’ve read some literature and used some essential oils but my knowledge did not progress much for years.

In 2018 I was introduced to aromatic distillation using copper alembic still. I fell for it with all my heart. Soon I was buying books and taking aromatherapy courses.

I have received my primary certification from The School for Aromatic Studies (USA):

Foundations of Aromatherapy (NAHA level 1)
Aromatic Medicine Certificate Course (NAHA level 3)

Additionally, I studied at Tisserand Institute (USA), Penny Price Academy of Aromatherapy (UK), Healing Fragrances School of Aromatherapy (Canada).

I learned the subtleties of distilling aromatic plants in the courses of “AromaGnosis” (USA), A.Harman (USA), M.Valussi (Italy).

In this blog I am sharing my knowledge to give back to the community and connect with fellow enthusiasts from around the world.

I’m a Board Member of Lithuanian Association of Aromatherapists, Comunication Group member, a 2024 conference host, 2025 conference presenter and a panel discussion expert. Here’s my takeaway form 2024 event.
